MOJA Arts Festival 2025 Juried Art Exhibition continues through Feb. 2, 2026

Happy New Year Friends! In case you missed it, the MOJA Arts Festival 2025 Juried Art Exhibition is installed at the Charleston City Gallery through February 2, 2026 presented by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the MOJA Planning Committee

The exhibition officially opened on December 12, 2025 following a partial presentation during the 2025 MOJA Festival week at the Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture. The full exhibition has been installed offering extended public access beyond the traditional festival timeframe.

The decision to extend the exhibition reflects both logistical considerations related to gallery maintenance and a broader commitment by the MOJA Arts Festival to expand its cultural footprint year-round, strengthening sustained engagement with artists, audiences, and the greater Charleston community. The 2025 MOJA Arts Festival Juried Art Exhibition features works by regional and national artists spanning painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and photography.

“The Juried Arts Exhibition has always been a pillar of the MOJA Arts Festival. Over the history of the festival it has become an anchor for both established and up and coming visual artists in our city, region, the US, and Caribbean. We thank all of the artists for their contributions, the patrons who have enjoyed these masterpieces, and the City Gallery and City of Charleston for all of the tremendous energy put into making it a successful showing year to year!,” did Charlton Singleton, Artistic Director of MOJA.

The exhibition will be on view at Charleston City through Wednesday, February 12, 2026 with regular hours Wednesday through Sundays from 12p.m. – 5p.m. Portions of the exhibition were previously on view at the Avery Research Center through January 2, 2026.

As we look ahead, planning is already underway for the next festival season. SAVE THE DATES September 24 – October 4, 2026. Artists, cultural workers, volunteers, and community partners are encouraged to engage with upcoming opportunities for participation, presentations, and community programming.

The MOJA Arts Festival remains committed to celebrating the profound contributions of African American and Caribbean arts and culture through meaningful, accessible, and sustained creative experiences that reflect harmony, excellence, and cultural continuity.
