DESCRIPTION:Charleston Poet Laureate A$iahMae\, in partnership with the MOJA Arts Festival\, presents Poetry in Focus: An Ekphrastic Love Letter to Film In Response to “Losing Ground.” \nThis evening assembles poets Queen Guillotine and TTruthSeeker The Poet\, and experimental music duo Geechee Technologies in a collective celebration of Kathleen Collins’ landmark independent film\, released in 1982. \n \nWhen “Losing Ground” was re-issued in 2015 and screened at Lincoln Center as part of “Tell It Like It Is: Black Independents in New York\, 1968 – 1986\,” critic A.O.
