MOJA Arts Festival highlights included:
National recording artist, Will Downing, performed in An Evening of Jazz Under the Stars at the Family Circle Stadium,
Young, emerging poet, Shannon Laribo read excerpts from her collection of poetry for the Literary Corner,
Carlie Towne Productions presented Diary Frum De Neck Part 4 for the Theatre Series,
The MOJA Gospel Concert: “A Gospel Explosion” included various Male Choirs from Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist, Royal Missionary Baptist, Bethel AME and Greater Zion AME Churches,
Violinist, Seth Gilliard, performed an evening of classical to contemporary music and opera at the City Gallery,
Opera sensation, Denyce Graves performed a night of intimate songs for MOJA’s Classical Encounter at the Dock Street Theatre, and
The 2012 featured MOJA Poster Artist was James Denmark with his work “Carolina Jam.”
