This year, the Festival took place from October 1 - October 12, 1986.
The introduction of the Literary Series to MOJA’s festival format brought internationally renowned poet and playwright Amiri Baraka who performed a reading from his works.
The Film Series featured a special presentation of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun.
